Tidal Café is a busy breakfast and lunch restaurant in the Comox Valley. Family owned and operated, we value a healthy work-life balance and provide a fun (but professional) fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. As a day time line cook, you will play a key role in providing tasty meals for Comox Valley diners. Part-time breakfast cook

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Prepare and deliver consistent quality food items according to guest specifications

  • Complete opening and closing duties according to assigned shifts

  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with both the kitchen team and front of house

  • Maintain relevant kitchen records and food safe logs

  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen at all times

  • Aid in creating purchase orders for items required to prepare and deliver all menu items and all cleaning requirements

  • Look forward to a harmonious work-life balance and fun working environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passionate about cooking good food

  • Positive attitude, responsible and strong work ethic

  • Professional dress and standards of hygiene

  • Ability to lift heavy items of up to 30 lbs

  • Flexible schedule, strong communication, and interpersonal skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Dogwood Diploma (high school diploma)

  • Ability to work 32+ hours per week

  • Foodsafe Level 1 certification (training will be provided if certificate not current)

  • Ability to work early mornings

  • Reliable transportation

Wage Depending on knowledge and experience
